Our roading projects align with what we say we will do in our Long Term and Annual Plans, and are funded jointly from your property rates and Waka Kotahi.
The 2024 Government Policy Statement (GPS), which covers funding for our roading programme, indicated that no subsidy funding would be made available for council seal-extension projects on local roads for the 2024 - 2027 period.
Also, in our Long Term Plan 2024-2034, we have made no additional budget provision for Council-funded seal-extension projects on local roads. Therefore, no new seal-extension projects are planned on Council roads for the 2024 - 2027 period.
