Ways of paying a council bill

View the different ways you can pay a Council bill.

Payment requests and enquiries

Find out how you can request a transfer, refund or write off a penalty or make a general payment enquiry.

Paying your land rates

Pay your land rates online, by direct debit, phone or in person and find out about penalties or when your rates are due.

Paying your water rates

Pay your water rates and find out about meter readings, billing schedule, final meter readings and using the water rates calculator.

Temporary amendment in Alcohol Act for Rugby World Cup 2023
With the temporary amendment of Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, eligible on-licence and club licence holders can extend their trading hours to televise live Rugby World Cup 2023 games, without applying for a special licence.

Whau Valley dam parking area open
Whau Valley Dam parking area is now open to the public. The Whau Valley Dam Track, which is accessed via the Dam car park, remains closed due to a slip.

Tsunami siren testing
On Sunday, 24 September 2023, there will be tsunami siren testing at 10:00am for 10 minutes and again at 10:30am for 30 seconds.
