Pay an application fee or invoice

There are several ways you can pay applications, such as building consents, food and liquor licences, or public utilities.

  • Online:  pay online with your credit or debit card
  • By phone:  call with your credit or debit card details
  • In person:  come into one of our customer service centres with cash, credit or debit card
  • Other:  pay via internet banking or an international money transfer.

Online

Step 1.Have your card ready

You can pay using a credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard only). No fees or surcharges apply for online credit card payments.

Step 2.You'll need your application reference

The number appears on your invoice or statement. 

Step 3.Find how much to pay

Step 4.Pay online

Click "Pay online" to be redirected to our secure payments website.  

By using our payment website, you agree to our Online Service Terms and Conditions.

Pay online 

On the payments website:

  1. Enter the Application number and follow the instructions until you get to the shopping cart.
  2. Click 'Save Cart' to save the Application number.
  3. Click the 'Applications' link in the left navigation to add another application.
  4. Continue until all invoices or statements (application numbers) have been added.

By phone

Call us with your details to make a payment. We accept Visa and Mastercard payments via our Contact Centre.

You can pay with cash, Eftpos or Visa or Mastercard at any of our customer service centres.
