Whangārei isite Visitor Centre

The Whangārei isite is a member of Tourism New Zealand’s official Visitor Information Network (isite).

The isite is the official provider of information in Whangārei with free maps and brochures, and a great range of souvenirs. 

We also offer:

• Council customer services
• a free booking service for accommodation and activities New Zealand wide
• Whangārei's only Intercity bus ticket booking service
• event ticketing for Eventfinda from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily
• key knowledge of both the local region and the rest of New Zealand
• a 24-hour toilet with a public shower available during opening hours (tokens available at the isite counter).

Located conveniently on SH1 with a cafe, toilets, a children’s playground and plenty of free parking, the Whangārei isite has everything in one great location.

Council customer services

The isite offers Council customer services.

A customer representative is available from Monday to Friday to help with all Council enquiries and payments, excluding dog registrations.

Parking

Free parking is available for vehicles and camper vans.

There are mobility parking spaces directly in front of the main entrance and public toilets. 

Event ticketing

Eventfinda tickets are available at the Whangārei isite Visitor Centre between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Booking fees apply.
