Pay a vehicle infringement

There are a number of ways to pay a vehicle infringement. 

  • Online: pay online with your credit or debit card
  • By phone: call with your credit or debit card details
  • In person: come into one of our customer service centres with cash, credit or debit card
  • Internet banking: pay via internet banking.

Please note that there are no fees charged if you pay by credit card.

Online

Step 1.Have your card available

Pay using a credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard only). We do not charge a fee for online credit card payments.

Step 2.You'll need your notice number

The number appears at the top of your infringement notice or parking ticket. 

Step 3.Pay online

Once you click on the "Pay online" button you will be redirected to our secure payments website.  

By using our payment website, you are agreeing to our Online Service Terms and Conditions.

Pay online 

You can pay for one or more notice or ticket at the same time. 

Simply enter the Notice number and follow the instructions until you get to the shopping cart.  Click ‘Save Cart’ to save the Notice number.

Click the ‘Vehicle Infringements’ link in the left navigation to add another Notice number.

Continue until all infringements (notice numbers) have been added.

By phone

Call us to with your details to make a Visa and Mastercard payment via our Contact Centre. 

You will need your notice number, which appears at the top of the infringement notice or parking ticket.

In-person

Come into one of our customer service centres to pay by cash, Eftpos, Visa or Mastercard.  

You will need to bring your infringement notice or parking ticket in with you.

Internet banking

Step 1.Gather ticket or notice

Make sure you have your parking ticket or infringement notice ready as you will need to ticket or notice number. 

Step 2.Visit your online bank

You can pay your ticket or infringement using your internet banking.

Step 3.Enter payment options

We are listed as a bill payee with your bank.  

Search for "Whangarei District" in your bank's payee list and select one of the following options:

  • Whangarei District Council - Parking for parking ticket payments
  • Whangarei District Council - Other for other vehicle infringements (e.g. no registration or warrant of fitness). 

Pay the amount listed on the parking ticket or infringement notice.
