Cremations in Whangārei take place in the Maunu Crematorium, which is located at the Maunu Cemetery on Cemetery Road.
The crematorium is run by Maunu Crematorium Ltd, a private company which leases the building from Council. The company also runs the Maunu Chapel.
The chapel has a picturesque setting in glades of native bush and is available for small funeral services.
