Northland tsunami siren testing: Sunday 5 April at 10:00am

On Sunday 5 April 2026 at 10:00am, Northland’s tsunami sirens will be tested. They will sound once at 10:00am for around two minutes and will be monitored for any faults.
The tsunami sirens are tested twice a year, coinciding with the start and end of daylight saving.
Check if you live, work or play in a tsunami evacuation zone, and plan your safest route.
