Health nuisances

Health nuisances can cause the spread of disease and cause annoyance. Find out how to report a nuisance.

Noise control

Our noise control service can be used at any time of the day or night to control excessive or unreasonable noise.

Land Information Memorandum (LIM) applications closedown period
Close-down period for LIM applications is from 20 December 2023 to 10 January 2024. Any LIM application received during this time will be deemed as received on 11 January 2024.
If you require a LIM before 20 December 2023, you will need to order prior to 7 December 2023.

Please allow for extra days that statutory holidays can add to processing times for applications. Get your applications in on time to avoid disappointment.
The close-down period for processing Resource Management Act and Building Act applications is from 20 December 2023 to 10 January 2024, inclusive.

Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act closedown period
Closedown period for processing alcohol licence applications is from 20 December 2023 to 15 January 2024.
To ensure your alcohol licence applications are received and processed before our statutory closedown period (20 December to 15 January), the applications must be received by 11 November 2023.

Recycling and rubbish collections on Christmas
There will be no kerbside rubbish collection on Monday 25 December. All collection days will be delayed by one day. The normal collection schedule will resume on Monday 1 January 2024.
