Go on an epic mythical quest this summer

Whangārei Libraries is making summer extra fun this year with a school holiday programme featuring mythical creature trading cards.

Young people can earn cards by completing challenges such as reading books, visiting local spots, baking, science experiments and crafts.

“These programmes help prevent learning loss, promote a love of reading, and give families ideas for fun activities to keep kids off screens,” says Children’s Librarian Marama Keyte.

Running throughout the summer break, the initiative encourages readers to stay engaged and entertained.
