A petition was submitted to us by local residents and business owners advocating for increasing safety measures and reducing the number of speeding vehicles on Clark Road and Three Mile Bush Road.
Their main concern was the speed of vehicles around Kamo Primary School, which is situated at the intersection of these two roads.
There are two additional schools, a sports ground and the main Kamo shopping centre, within 1km of Clark Road, so there are a significant number of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists who use these roads.
These traffic-calming works have received 100 per cent government funding through the Transport Choices programme, which is designed to create walkable neighbourhoods, and support safe, green and healthy school travel.

Starting from Monday 8 January 2024, we began works on Three Mile Bush Road to complete the zebra crossing outside Kamo Primary School by the end of the summer school holidays.
The second zebra crossing on Clark Road was scheduled for completion during the July school holidays to mitigate disruptions to school traffic.
The remaining works were completed by early 2025.
