Whangārei District caters for traditional sporting activities, such as rugby, soccer, cricket, hockey and netball.
Our rugby and cricket grounds at Okara Sports Park and the BMX tracks at Pohe Island are of international standard. The turf facilities at Kensington Park host hockey matches at a national level.
The District's sports parks can be booked for special events, tournaments, games and casual use.
