Kokopu Road temporary road closure

Event date: Monday, 08 June 2026 | 08:00 AM to Tuesday, 09 June 2026 | 05:00 PM

Kokopu Road (east of the one-lane bridge near the substation) will be closed to all traffic for culvert-replacement works. 

Period of closure: 8:00am on Monday 8 June to 5:00pm on Tuesday 9 June 2026. 

Due to the depth of excavation required, a full closure is necessary to ensure public and worker safety. 

Plesae follow the detour route available via Mangakahia Road and Draffin Road. 

There will be heavy machinery on site, possible delays and restricted access near the work area. 

Traffic management will remain in place following the closure period to complete the works.

All work is weather dependent.
