Heading to the Okara Shopping Centre this weekend?The Reyburn Street bridge (Port Road) will be closed from 6:00pm on Friday 21 August until 5:00am on Monday 24 August for follow-up testing of strengthening work.Detours will be in place diverting traffic along Commerce Street.

Kauika Road West will be closed for a wastewater pipe upgrade.
Period of closure: 24 August to 14 September 2026, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm.
A full road closure will be in place during work hours.
Residents within the closure area will retain access, although access may be restricted at times while works are underway.
A signed detour will be available via Wilson Avenue and Fifth Avenue.
Outside of work hours, a priority give way traffic management system will be in place. Please take extra care when travelling through the area.
