Cove Road roadworks

We will be carrying out roadworks to widen Cove Road for the Waipū Cycleway. 

Period of roadworks: Monday 16 March to Saturday 30 May 2026, 7:00am to 7:00pm.  

The section of Cove Road impacted is from the intersection with Flagstaff Terace to before Johnson Point Road.

During these works, we will have temporary traffic and pedestrian management in place.  

Please follow the directions of our traffic management staff on site and use alternative routes if possible.

While there will always be access through site, this may be a slower route due to traffic management, so the alternative route via South Road and McLean Road shown below may be preferred.
