Local pup tries Claphams Clocks' new dog stop.
Dog owners visiting some Council facilities now have a safe, convenient place to leave their furry friends while they duck inside for a quick visit.
New ‘dog stops’ have been installed at two locations in the city, giving owners a secure, visible and sheltered spot to tie up their dogs for a few minutes.
One of the new dog stops is located outside Claphams National Clock Museum in the Town Basin, allowing visitors to browse the gift shop while their four-legged companions wait outside.
Council notes that complete dog satisfaction is not guaranteed, and some dogs may use the opportunity to put on a dramatic performance while waiting for their owners to return, so only short visits are advised.
Dog stops are now available at Claphams National Clock Museum and Te Iwitahi (civic centre).
The stations are designed to make short visits easier while helping keep dogs safe and comfortable.
