Do I need to provide car parking?

There is no District Plan requirement for the number of car parking spaces to be provided to support the use or development of a property.

The District Plan now sets out:

• minimum numbers of bicycle parking spaces that are required to support some activities
• maximum number of car parking spaces that can be provided, in some cases
• car parking design, location, and configuration requirements.

Where these rules cannot be met a resource consent will be required.
