Nova Scotia Drive in Waipū received road-safety improvements to make it safer around the curved section of the road.

What we did on Nova Scotia Drive

  • widened shoulders
  • installed new safety barriers
  • laid new high-skid resistance pavement
  • improved drainage.

Drainage work began on 15 January 2024 and was put on hold temporarily during the Brynderwyn's closure. The rest of the works were completed by early 2025.
