On Saturday 25 April 2026 (Anzac Day) and Monday 27 April 2026 (public holiday observed), kerbside rubbish and recycling collections will be carried out as usual and the rubbish and recycling stations are open.
The TAB Venue Policy specifies whether new standalone TAB venues may be established in the District and where they may be located. It allows for a maximum of two TAB venues in our District.
The policy only applies to standalone TAB venues, which are operated by TAB New Zealand. It does not apply to pubs or clubs that provide TAB gambling opportunities.
Three-yearly review of this policy is required by the Racing Industry Act 2020. At its meeting on 26 June 2025, Council reviewed this policy and decided to continue it without amendment.
