A trip to Waitangi for our migrants and newcomers

On behalf of Te Huinga (Hapū Collective) and their Welcoming Communities commitment, free return bus transport from Whangārei to Waitangi is being provided, along with a packed lunch for all participants.

The trip includes access to the Treaty Grounds, cultural activities, markets, and performances, as well as time to explore the local area and beach at your own leisure.

Bus departs: NorthTec campus at 8:00am

Return trip: Bus leaves Waitangi at 3:00pm

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the significance of Waitangi Day and celebrate alongside a like‑minded community.

Registrations are limited to 45 people, and each person must submit their own registration.

Light refreshments will be provided but if anyone wants to bring kai and share it, they are most welcome to.
