Coastal Conversations – McLeod Bay

An ocean and beach graphic with the words Coastal Conversations.

Our coastlines are changing. What does this mean for your community?

At this free event, Coastal Scientist Jim Dahm and local presenters will take a closer look at how our coastlines are changing, and what we can do to adapt and thrive.

It’s a chance to come together with your community to discuss the coastal issues facing you and to get information on coastal erosion and sea-level rise, working with nature to protect our coastlines and beaches, what councils are doing about coastal erosion, and where to go for advice if you’re concerned or have questions about coastal issues.

There will be a mixture of formal presentations and a chance to mingle, chat and check out displays from local groups, kaitiaki, schools and councils.

It’s a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, connect with others in your community, and hear from experts in coastal processes and hazards.

Register now to receive updates and reminders or just come along and join the conversation!
