This project will complete the final link connecting the Waipū Cycleway from the Waipū township to Waipū Cove.

The cycleway runs through a residential area south of the Waipū township, and finding the best route has taken time and careful planning.

This portion of the cycleway will be built on the eastern side of Cove Road, with the western side to be widened and realigned for about 300 metres. This option improves visibility and avoids affecting private property.

A portion of the cycleway will be concrete with the remainder in gravel and will be about 2.5 metres wide.
