The Wehiwehi Road toilets at Matapōuri are over 20 years old and need replacing. 

They are often closed due to an aging flushing system, which is no longer keeping up with demand.

We will be replacing the current two-bay toilet block with a five-bay toilet block, including an accessible toilet and an outdoor shower. 

This will be a sceptic tank toilet block and we will be adding secondary treatment to improve performance. 

The project will be underway in October 2025 with the new toilets being open before summer 2025 / 2026.
