From 1 September 2026, we will transition to Quotable Value (QV) as our provider of rating valuation services, replacing our current provider, Opteon.

Hātea walkway swing bridge temporarily closed

The Hātea walkway swing bridge on the walking trail from A H Reed Memorial Kauri Park to Whangārei Falls is closed following a failed safety inspection. We are working with specialist engineers and contractors to replace the bridge structure to ensure necessary stabilisation and safety improvements.

Te Matau a Pohe marine closure for Ranfurly Shield Parade

Te Matau a Pohe bridge will be temporarily closed to boats for the Ranfurly Shield Parade from 10:45am to 11:30am on Saturday 29 August 2026.

Boats that arrive during that time will be asked to tie up to a pontoon until the parade and spectators leave the bridge. Pedestrians will still be able to use the bridge.

Skippers are encouraged to contact Bridge Control prior to setting off.
