Public Trading, Events and Commercial Filming Bylaw

The Public Trading, Events and Commercial Filming Bylaw supports the use and enjoyment of public places by minimising public safety risks, nuisance and misuse of Council-controlled land, structures and infrastructure associated with commercial and other organised activities in public places.

Outdoor Hospitality Guidelines made under the Bylaw provide an enabling framework for food and drink premises to use Council-controlled footpaths, balancing opportunities for outdoor hospitality with the need to preserve safe and accessible public spaces.  The guidelines should be read together with the Bylaw.
