This short walk starts at the far end of Manganese Point Road in Tamaterau, on the northern side of Whangārei harbour.
It passes through some attractive native bush as it descends to a secluded beach and reserve area.
Parking is available at the turn around at the end of the road and the track is marked. Please park respectfully.
There may be some known and potential hazards that users should be aware of and avoid.

This is a surfaced track on sloping ground. There are a number of steps which help to make the climb relatively easy.

1 A well made path with easy access for most people including families.
2 A short walk generally on well made path but may include steeper sections.
3 A longer walking track usually well made including steps and more suitable for people with reasonable fitness.
