Dave Culham Drive temporary road closure

Dave Culham Drive will be temporarily closed for maintenance required on Te Matau a Pohe bridge.

Period of closure: Thursday 19 March 2026, 6:00pm to Friday 20 March 2026, 2:00am

During this time, the bridge will be inaccessible and all motorists and pedestrians will need to use alternative routes.

Traffic management and detour signage will be in place throughout the closure period.

There will still be access to both the Whangārei Dog Park and Bike Park via Riverside Drive.

The Hātea walkway swing bridge on the walking trail from A H Reed Memorial Kauri Park to Whangārei Falls is closed for safety inspection. Please use the alternative route via Sands Road Loop.

Rates rebate widened
