Cove Road closure temporary road closure

Event date: Monday, 20 October 2025 | 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM

Cove Road in Waipū will be temporarily closed for sealing works between Seascape Road and Mclean Road.

Period of closure: Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 October, 6:00am to 6:00pm. 

Pilot vehicles and traffic controllers will be managing access with a detour in place and there could be hold times of up to 10 minutes during active works. 

Access to driveways and properties will be maintained where possible. Any temporary restrictions will be communicated directly to affected residents.

After the resealing works, there will be a temporary speed limit of 30km/h to 50km/h depending on chip density. 

Please follow all signage and instructions from traffic management personnel. Your cooperation ensures the safety of both road users and workers.

An unattended worksite will remain in place for up to five days following completion to allow for curing and aftercare.
