The 2026 Pasifika Fusion Festival marks the 11th year of celebrating the richness, strength and unity of Pacific peoples in Te Tai Tokerau.

This annual community-led festival brings Pasifika families and friends together for a vibrant day of connection, culture and celebration under the theme 'Nurturing Our Cultures by Strengthening Our Health'.

Event overview

Each Pacific nation will host its own village, sharing traditional food, arts, crafts and performances that celebrate the unique identity of our islands. Visitors can enjoy live music and dance, delicious Pacific cuisine, and the vibrant atmosphere of community pride.

A key part of the festival is our Health and Wellbeing Hub, where healthcare providers and community organisations offer free health checks, advice and culturally grounded support for families.

The event is a one-day, community-led festival coordinated by FALE Pasifika with strong support from schools, churches, cultural groups and health providers. Now in our 11th year, Pasifika Fusion continues to honour our culture while supporting the health and future of our people.

Organised by FALE Pasifika, alongside local schools, churches and community groups, the festival aims to:

  • celebrate and preserve Pasifika cultures
  • promote holistic health and wellbeing
  • support youth leadership and community involvement
  • strengthen partnerships across our Pasifika communities.
