Collage and Colour: Exploring Mixed Media Techniques

Event date: Saturday, 13 December 2025 | 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM

Surreal collage artwork featuring a figure in a white dress with a large pink flower as the head, black boots, and textured stones at the base. In the background, another figure in white tights and a golden top is posed on a wooden table near a stone wall with an arched window. The composition includes abstract and architectural elements, blending natural and human forms in a dreamlike style.

Join us for a two-day creative tutorial where you'll craft a unique mixed media artwork using collage, acrylic paints, and inks.

Collage is a powerful technique that brings together photographs, paper, fabric and other materials to form a cohesive visual story.  The word 'collage' comes from the French word meaning 'to glue', and this method invites chance, contrast and layered meaning.

Participants will learn how to build their collage, then enhance it with paint, glaze and manipulation to create depth and texture.

With endless possibilities to explore, this workshop is a playful and inspiring space to experiment, express and create.

Come join us and discover the joy of mixed media!

Please bring: snacks, a drink, and a packed lunch for both days.
