We renewed the Whale Tail Park playground in Ngunguru. It was getting old and had drainage issues during winter that made the playground unappealing to use.

Council officers visited Ngunguru School to discuss new playground designs with the students. Their feedback was incorporated into the design.

Once the playground design was confirmed, it took about three to four months to manufacture and install.

In that time, we removed the old playground and carried out drainage works to improve the area for winter.
