Rates rebate widened

Changes to the thresholds mean some ratepayers who weren't eligible for a rates rebate in 2024-25 might be eligible in 2025-26. Homeowners can check their eligibility and apply for the 2025-26 rates rebate below. If you received a rebate last year, we have sent you a form for 2025-26 which you should receive by the end of July.

Weed spraying

Our contractors will be spraying broadleaf weeds in turf areas on all Council sports fields, parks and reserves in September and October 2025.

Kotuitui Whitinga footbridge closure

Kotuitui Whitinga will be closed to pedestrians and marine traffic for hydraulic maintenance on Monday 20 October 2025 from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via Port Road and Herekino Street.

Marine users are advised to call Bridge Control 021 401 752 for updates on the reopening before setting out.
