Management of Council owned property

Council owns a small number of properties that are leased to organisations or contracted under license to individuals or businesses.  These may include properties such as:

  • grazing land
  • commercial buildings
  • community buildings
  • sport facilities on parks
  • other structures or buildings. 

You can log a request about an existing or new lease or license, or enquire about sales and acquisitions.

Council own and manage a number of buildings in the District such as:

  • commercial buildings (Council owned)
  • central city carpark
  • pensioner housing
  • residential housing
  • council offices
  • council libraries
  • community halls (maintenance only)

If you notice an issue with cleanliness at one of our District’s public toilets, please let us know.  We will try to fix the problem as soon as possible.  You can also make an enquiry about our public toilets.
