Notice of Intention to grant a lease to Ruakākā Surf Life Saving Patrol Incorporated pursuant to section 54(1)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977 

Council is proposing to grant a new lease under section 54(1)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977 to Ruakākā Surf Life Saving Patrol Incorporated. 

This is for redevelopment of their clubrooms on an area of the Ruakākā Beach recreation reserve that they currently occupy, and a further small portion of the reserve on the western boundary, additional car parking area, and room for a vehicle crossing at the northern end of the site. The proposed term of lease will be for 30 years. 

Council is required under sections 119 and 120 of the Reserves Act 1977 to publicly notify its intention to grant the lease and provide members of the public (who request to do so) with the opportunity to present at a hearing.
