A H Reed Memorial Park has been formally closed for kauri protection.
Phytophthora agathidicida, the pathogen which causes kauri dieback, has been found in the reserve.
The reserve will be temporarily closed while further testing is undertaken.
This urgent action has been undertaken in partnership with hapū, Northland Regional Council and Whangarei District Council.
Please do not enter A H Reed Memorial Park until the rāhui has been lifted.
Thank you for your help in protecting our kauri.
