Whangārei Fireworks Spectacular proposed road closure

Event date: Saturday, 01 November 2025 | 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that for the purpose of the Whangārei Fireworks Spectacular, organised by the Northland Events Centre (2021) Trust, we propose to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic:

Okara Drive, from the roundabout at Okara Drive and Porowini Avenue to the roundabout at Okara Drive and Port Road.

• Period of closure: 2:00pm to 10:00pm, Saturday 1 November 2025. 

During the proposed period of closure, the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic, which would otherwise use the road: Emergency services may use the closed road, and residents may use the closed road by arrangement with the organiser:
