Northland Car Club proposed road closures

Pursuant to Schedule 10, clause 11(d) of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is given that for the purpose of the Northland Car Club Motorsport Event Series (October 2025 event), organised by Northland Car Club Inc, Whangarei District Council will, at its meeting on 28 August 2025, consider the proposal to temporarily close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic:  

Where: Waiwarawara Drive, from Theodore Drive to Casey Road (includes the Casey Road / Waiwarawara Drive roundabout and Theodore Drive / Waiwarawara Drive roundabout).

• Sunday 5 October 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm 

Where: Roosevelt Road, from Theodore Drive to Waiwarawara Drive.

• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

During the proposed periods of closure, the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads: Emergency services may use the closed road, and residents may use the closed road by arrangement with the organiser:
