Kauika Road temporary road closure

Kauika Road will be closed between Maunu Road and Second Avenue for traffic calming and pedestrian refuge works. 

Period of closure: 9:00am on Monday 19 May to 3:00pm on Thursday 22 May 2025.

Due to the construction of a speed table and pedestrian refuge on Kauika Road, the road will be closed to all vehicles entering from and exiting into Maunu Road. 

Please follow the signposted detour. The detour for traffic needing to access Kauika Road is via Maunu Road, then left into Central Avenue, then left into First Avenue, then as per normal.

There will also be 'residents-only access' on Kauika Road between First Avenue and Second Avenue.

All works are weather dependent.
