Fearn Street, Te Kamo – Northpower switch upgrade

Northpower will be upgrading a switch on Fearn Street, Te Kamo from Monday 7 July to Friday 18 July 2025. 

Most of the work is expected to have minimal impact on traffic. However, there may be occasional manual traffic control in place, such as stop / go operations. 

As a precaution for the safety of both workers and the public, Fearn Street may be temporarily closed between 9:00am and 3:00pm for approximately one to two days. This closure will be avoided if possible. 

During any closure, a detour will be in place, and residents will still have access to their properties. A letter drop will be carried out to inform Fearn Street residents in advance.

The detour routes will direct traffic via Fairway Drive through to Braintree Street, onto Clark Road, and out to Kamo Road, or alternatively via Fairway Drive onto Whau Valley Road and out to Kamo Road.
