When plan changes are included in the District Plan they are considered "Operative" and there is no further opportunity for public submissions on these changes.

Plan Change 91: Hazardous Substances

PC 91 reviewed the hazardous substances provisions in new legislative framework and proposed to remove District Plan rules on hazardous substances that duplicated other regulations.

Plan Change 150: Marsden City Private Plan Change

Shifts land use in the Marsden Primary Centre away from its industrial focus to provide for increased residential land use that supports the development of a sustainable and viable town centre.

Urban and Services Plan Change

To create new zones in Whangārei's urban area, three new Open Space Zones and new rules around transport, drinking water, stormwater and wastewater, earthworks, signs and lighting.

Plan Change 2: General Amendments

Several issues and inconsistencies were identified in our District Plan, which we sought to address. The proposed amendments were intended to streamline and simplify the plan while maintaining the current policy intent as much as possible.
