Whangārei Sequence Dance Club is a social dancing club. Join us for Sequence in Time Practice Night, every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, 7:30pm - 9:00pm.

Sequence dancing is a style of dance performed by couples dancing a fixed pattern of steps, based on standard ballroom and Latin dance moves. Come along to a weekly social night to practise and learn ballroom style sequence dances old and new.

New people are welcome to come along and try it out.

Modern sequence dancing is a style of dance performed by couples dancing a fixed pattern of steps, based on standard ballroom and Latin dance moves.

We have set lists of dances that we use on a four-week rotation and these lists are posted on our Facebook page each week for reference. Walk-through videos for most of the dances are also available on YouTube for guidance. You may even remember some of them from school or other social events!

Each week we dance around 16 dances from the list, with extra requests if there's time, or walk-throughs and refreshers as needed.

We are a social club, so the emphasis is on socialising and having fun, but anyone is welcome to request a walk-through or refresher as they need it.

We recommend you wear shoes that are comfortable and fully support your feet, with soles that will not grip or slip too much on the floor.
