Group Bike Ride 2026

Event date: Friday, 09 October 2026 | 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Join Bike and Hike Northland for a scenic group ride along the recently completed Waipū Cove Trail.

Enjoy a relaxed ride from Waipū to Waipū Cove and back, taking in the beautiful coastal surroundings along the way.

Once at Waipū Cove, take time to stop for a coffee, enjoy the beach atmosphere, or bring your togs and go for a refreshing swim before the return journey.

The trail is approximately 8km each way (16km return) and follows the same route back to Waipū.

Participants are welcome to bring their mokopuna, provided they are able to comfortably ride the full distance. Children must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times.

This is a great opportunity to get active, enjoy the outdoors and connect with others while exploring one of Northland's newest cycling trails.
