Governance Training Programme for Community Organisations

Four people in a meeting around a table.

Are you a member of a trust, board or community organisation in Te Tai Tokerau?

Do you want to strengthen your governance capability?

Join us for this free, two-part online governance training programme to help build your confidence, develop a positive board culture, and enhance mission achievement and long-term sustainability.

By the end of the training programme, participants will be able to:

  • describe the key roles and responsibilities of a not-for-profit board and its members
  • apply principles of effective governance to decision-making in their organisation
  • identify practical strategies to improve board processes and meetings
  • strengthen their understanding of the relationship between governance, management and operations
  • explore ways to create and sustain a positive board culture.

These free workshops are hosted by LEAD, the Centre for Not-for-Profit Governance and Leadership, and organised by Whangarei District Council in partnership with Kaipara District Council and Far North District Council.
