Rates rebate widened
Changes to the thresholds mean some ratepayers who weren't eligible for a rates rebate in 2024-25 might be eligible in 2025-26. Homeowners can check their eligibility and apply for the 2025-26 rates rebate below. If you received a rebate last year, we have sent you a form for 2025-26, which you should have received by the end of July 2025.

Ōakura Transfer Station hours extended
Due to rain impacts, Ōakura Transfer Station has extended its hours from 8:00am until 4:30pm for Tuesday and Wednesday, to be reassessed on Thursday.

It will be accepting flood-damaged, inorganic items at no charge. Additionally there are skip bins available at Oakura Hall for flood-damaged inorganic items.
