We made safety improvements on a series of bends along Pipiwai Road in Ngāraratunua, between Waipapa Road and Church Road.

The work made the road safer by:

  • reshaping the curves
  • widening the road
  • improving the slope of the bends
  • extending culverts to remove hazards
  • adding new road signs. 

This project started in early November 2025 and was completed in January 2026.
