Walking and Cycling Strategy

The Walking and Cycling Strategy provides:

  • the framework and priorities for the development of a connected urban walking and cycling network
  • increasing participation in walking and cycling, both for recreation and active commuting
  • for the development of rural cycling routes that enable our communities to leverage economic benefit from the growing cycle-tourism market.

It also forms the basis for securing additional funding to develop our District-wide walking and cycling infrastructure.
