The Gen Z Fund supports young people aged 12-20 to deliver a community project or activity. Grants of up to $2,000 are available for youth-led initiatives that will make a difference to young people and the community of Whangārei.
This Fund is about inspiring and enabling the future leaders of Whangārei to actively make a difference in the community, while removing barriers that can get in the way of a good idea.
Open to individuals aged 12 to 20 years, living in the Whangārei District.
Eligible initiatives are those that address a need and provide benefit to the Whangarei community or a portion of that community.
Types of eligible initiatives could be workshops, events, seminars, research and surveys of local relevance, awareness campaigns, the setup of community activities, resources for sectors of the community, and more.
We are unable to support initiatives that provide private benefit to a small group or to individuals.
