Thanks to Whangārei artist Earnest Bradley, the Parua Bay Community Centre public toilet – formerly of Matapōuri Beach – has rolled into its new home as a colourful crowd‑pleaser beside the skatepark.
Bradley's mural brings the walls to life: a skateboarder launches across the front wall, with Mount Manaia standing tall behind them.
A cheeky kiwi on the right gives a nod to the community’s much‑loved kiwi-recovery programme, balanced by a tūī on the left.
At the back, the rolling waves of Ocean Beach keep the coastal vibes flowing.
