Community groups across Te Tai Tokerau are encouraged to apply for the Kai Ora Fund, with grants of up to $5,000 now open to support projects that strengthen food security and build community resilience.

Since launching in 2015, the Kai Ora Fund has invested over $1 million into more than 320 grassroots initiatives.

The purpose of the Kai Ora Fund is to enable Northlanders to eat nutritious and sustainably sourced local food, which now, with the increasing cost of living, is more important than ever.

The Kai Ora Fund is a collaborative initiative involving 10 partner organisations across Te Tai Tokerau, which work together to back innovative ideas supporting food sovereignty and resilient communities.

Community groups, whānau trusts, social enterprises and small local businesses are encouraged to apply. Support is available throughout the application process.
