Tauraroa Road temporary road closure

Essential rail crossing maintenance works will require a temporary closure of Tauraroa Road at the rail crossing near 473 Tauraroa Road, Mangapai.

Period of closure: 6:00am on Saturday 15 August to 6:00pm on Sunday 16 August 2026.

There will be no through access across the railway line.

Please follow the clearly signposted detour route in place: 

• southbound via Maungakaramea Road, Hayward Road, Mangapai Road and Waiotira Road
• northbound via Waiotira Road, Mangapai Road, Hayward Road and Maungakaramea Road.

There may be some minor delays for motorists, so please allow extra travel time and follow all temporary traffic management signage.
