Tarewa Road temporary road closure

We will be closing Tarewa Road for resurfacing between State Highway 1 and Porowini Avenue.

Period of closure: Saturday 21 February 2026, 7:00am to 5:00pm

There will be a detour in place for city-bound and southbound traffic via Porowini Avenue and Maunu Road. The State Highway 1 / Otaika right turn into Tarewa Road will be closed.

Access will be available to residents.

All works are weather dependent.

We understand that roadworks can be disruptive, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve Tarewa Road.
